Mara Interview & Penang Short-travelled

 

I have interview for MRSM teacher with MARA at Institut Latihan Kecemerlangan Mara at Sungai Jawi, Pulau Penang. So last Tuesday I went to Butterworth and stayed at my friend's place. We studied together at night for inteview preparation. We wanted to try this interview and assumed it as our experience to prepare our big interview with Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam next week.

From Bertam, we, five intended teachers and my father's friend drove us to Sungai Jawi in 35 minutes. We arrived at 9.30 a.m.. My friend and I went early and registered in one group (6peoples). Then we entered in one room as a group in front of three panels. We have given several questions and everyone have chance to speak out.

Questions about history course:

1. Huraikan bentuk-bentuk penentangan orang Melayu terhadap penjajahan British.
2. Mengapa orang British mudah masuk ke Tanah Melayu.
3. Mengapa orang British menganggap wira Melayu sebagai pemberontak?
4. Nyatakan kelebihan diri anda sebagai guru sejarah.

My other friends got questions about DEB, Sejarah Penubuhan Malaysia and anything related to Malay history. We have been interviewed in 30-45 minutes. No ikhtisas and current issues questions like we expected. My counseling got theories questions and they needed to speak in English why they wanted to be MRSM teacher. The interviews ongoing from 25-27 January 2012 and almost 1200 intended teachers came for interviews.

We, five intended teachers finished our interviews at 12 p.m.. Then my friend's father brought us to Penang and have a short-travelled.
